Jesus can redeem our lives, our stories, our situations. He does for three different women in these two stories (one is just a girl at 12 years of age, but still).

This week is National Salvation Army week in the United States, declared by President Eisenhower back in 1954. In today's episode we chat about the "I'll Fight" quote by The Salvation Army founder William Booth:

Today we begin our new series on Psalm 119. It is the longest chapter of Scripture, coming in at 176 verses. This Psalm is all about the word of God and how the word brings life to those who follow it. Join us on a journey into a section of the Bible which can be intimidating because of its length.

Easter Sunday or Resurrection Sunday requires us to look at the cross and the tomb. The cross mandates a response. The empty tomb begs an answer. Travel with us as we chat about different responses to the cross and the empty tomb.

Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Resurrection or Easter Sunday...we find ourselves at another Holy Week in the calendar of the Christian Church. If we are not diligent we can make these important yearly celebrations mundane and common place. Jesus is anything but common place. But what does it mean to celebrate these holidays? Who is this Jesus?
